We’re looking to recruit three new trustees to join Jazz North’s board and help us shape the future of our organisation as we navigate the new landscape for live music.
We understand that the challenges we all face right now will have long term consequences for musicians, promoters and venues and so, as we plan for a return to live music, we want to make sure that we are best placed to deliver our work to support the sector in this changing cultural landscape, and we need the right trustees to help us lead the way.
We recognise that our Board needs to represent the diversity of the people and the communities we work with. For this reason, we are proactively seeking Black, South Asian and ethnically diverse people, women, and people with lived experience of Disability as these are currently underrepresented at Jazz North.
Our board is currently made up of six people with varied professional and personal experience from across the music and arts industries, third sector and marketing/communications. You do not need experience as a trustee to apply and lived experience is as valuable to us as education or work experience.
To ensure we have a range of experience, perspective, and skills within our Board, we are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with:
- Financial expertise (CCAB qualified or demonstrable equivalent experience).
- Experience in the jazz sector as either a musician, promoter or educator
- PR and Communications
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 5th May 2021.
