In 2014 eleven musicians attended a pilot creative retreat for artists led by Veronique Raingeval and Tim Garland in the beautiful setting of Yewfield Vegetarian Guest House in the Lake District. As well as band leaders and musicians from northern line, the group included two Nordic Jazz Comet artists from our Europe Jazz Network partners Jazz Finland and Jazz Denmark.
The aims of the retreat were to:
Artists: Helen Pillinger, Kadi Vija, Andy Champion, Olivia Moore, Radek Rudnicki, Stuart McCallum, Paul Baxter, John Ellis, Mick Shoulder, Jonas Ladegaard and Joost Hendricks.
Guest speakers: Nod Knowles, Stuart Johnson and Derek Hook.
