Jazz Camp for Girls 2026

Girls just want to have fun…
and play jazz!
Jazz Camp for Girls started in Denmark in 2014 to offer a supportive and safe space for girls to be creative and explore improvisation. Over the last 12 years it has grown into an international project with camps now taking place in 18 different countries, mostly across Europe but also in Canada and India. Jazz North was the second organisation to join the Jazz Camp for Girls family and we’re celebrating our 8th year of this incredible initiative over the weekend of 7th & 8th March 2026.
Who can attend?
Our jazz camps are designed for musicians aged between 8-14 with no or little experience of playing jazz and improvising and aims to inspire them through a range of fun activities, celebrating the work of women in the jazz industry. All instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome to attend.
Five events will be taking place across the north of England and details of how to book a place at each camp can be found on the Jazz North website https://www.jazznorth.org/jazz-camp-for-girls

Thank you for everything, especially organising a group for young girls who just want to play/create music and feel socially accepted.
