Special Online Camp 28 – 29 March

Reacting to the current situation we’re running a special online camp for 10 girls on 28 – 29 March led by Lara Jones and Megan Roe of J Frisco for junior age group 9 – 13. We’ll run a further camp for girls 13-16 if there is demand.

To take part, girls will need to have use of a smartphone, iPad, tablet or laptop and ideally a stand or improvised support for the device so they can take part hands-free.

Priority will be given to girls from the cancelled camps.

About Jazz Camp for Girls

Jazz Camp for Girls is inspired by an original project created by JazzDanmark and Copenhagen Jazz Festival to address the gender inbalance in jazz. The Danish version is now in 8th year and runs for one week simultaneously in 16 cities around Denmark. Our 5 year goal is to build up a UK Jazz Camp for Girls by adding new partners each year. If you or your organisation is interested in being a future partner please contact our project manager Helena Summerfield jazznorth.org/jazz-camp-for-girls-contact.
