The Jazz North Education Conference is for anybody involved in music education, from music teachers to festival directors, musicians to promoters. It provides an opportunity to discover innovative ways of teaching music, to network and to help set the agenda for the future of jazz education in the north.
It takes place once a year in June and even though 2020’s Conference did not happen due to Covid-19, it will be back.
But, we are still inspired by 2019’s Conference. Award-winning saxophonist YolanDa Brown joined fellow speakers Jimmy Rotherham, Chris Sharkey and Helena Summerfield to tackle the question – how can the jazz sector help to tackle the music education crisis?
Find out how they got on in this report and keep your eyes peeled for updates on when we can bring it to you again.
